Our client’s brief asked us to investigate enhancing the building’s appearance, introducing extra storeys together with an interior conversion to offer a flexible approach to the provision of both self-contained and shared co-working office spaces.

The extension and alterations to the existing building provided an ideal opportunity to implement refurbishment works throughout the structure to modernise the function, sustainability, accessibility and overall quality of office spaces.

In addition to the new fit-out at every floor level, a new roof extension, predominantly glazed, with full-height screens on three facades maximises views from inside the structure.  The roof structure is a unique octagonal shape featuring folding down sections for framing views and limiting overheating. The belly of the ceiling slopes down towards a central column in order to house plants and services.
