This proposal gained planning consent in 2024 for a new-build low-energy dwelling on a greenbelt field which previously housed several outbuildings associated with the client's main dwelling located opposite the land.
The consent overcame several greenbelt restrictions which advises against inappropriate development which could harm the greenbelt.
Key to this consent was to accumulate the massing of the existing outbuildings & to consume this same volume within the new-build dwelling.
The house is designed specifically with the client's intentions to resemble an agricultural timber framed structure in keeping with a typical farm-esque vernacular, clad in black stained larch complemented with a black zinc roof, PV solar panels, grey water recycling & ground source heat pump.
The project commences on site in the summer of 2025.
